Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
about half the bowl survives
Decorated samian bowl, found at Segontium, Caernarfon. 65-75 CE.
The Romans mass-produced pottery and transported it across their empire. Most of the pottery used in Wales was produced locally but the Romans imported this glossy red slipware from Gaul, now France.
