Teapot and cover
Teapot, pale cream-coloured earthenware with a soft greenish-yellow tinge to the glaze, rounded foot-rim, globular body, narrow rounded lip-rim, curving spout with moulded acanthus leaves around the base, reeded double intertwined handle with moulded flower heads and leaves at the terminals, round domed cover with to the centrea finial modelled in the form of a flower head, a pierced steam hole to one side; bat-printed in black with to one side of the exterior body of the teapot a garden scene with a female figure and two children, to the other side a landscape with three perching birds, around the top of the cover two vignettes of birds. The tip of the spout broken off, the rim of the cover slightly chipped.
