Stockings

Pair of knitted stockings from Moat Farm, Kidwelly, mid-to-late 19th century.

Grey and cream stripes. Cream top, toe and heel. Each stripe consists of three rows of stitches. Top edge: 1 knit/1 purl for a width of a little under 2cm. Stockings appear to be unworn. Yarn is 2-ply, S-twist.
