Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Small plate, earthenware, circular shape with rounded foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim, a raised ridge around the well, a band of moulded anthemions to the outer rim; transfer-printed in black with to the centre of the well a rural scene showing in the foreground a female figure bearing a pitchfork hand-in-hand with a child bearing a rake, in the background are distant fields and hills and a coastal landscape with a lighthouse on a headland, black bands around the well and to the rim.
