Jug, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a rounded spreading slightly waisted foot-rim, pear-shaped body with cylindrical neck, triangular beak spout with elaborate scrolled moulding to the underside, double-curved scrolled loop handle with foliate-moulding to the shoulder and moulded with overlapping leaf shapes along its length, round domed cover to the top an apple finial, moulded leaves which once extended from the finial across the top of the cover are now broken off, the exterior body of the jug, the underside of the spout and the top of the cover applied with sprays and sprigs of raised flowers, an applied border around the exterior lip-rim of the jug and the rim of the cover of scrolls and foliate sprigs; finely painted in polychrome enamels with around the exterior body of the jug and the top of the cover sprays and sprigs of naturalistic flowers, the spout and handle picked out in gilt, gilt edges to the exterior lip-rim of the jug and the rim of the cover, the apple finial painted in orange, yellow and green. The underside of the cover slightly chipped.
