ss SAMOS (7234gt) : Laid down as ss TENCH TILGHMAN but launched as SAMOS in September 1943 by Bethlehem-Fairfield Shipyards Inc., Baltomore, for MoWT (managed by Elder, Dempster Lines, Liverpool. 1947 – Sold to Elder Dempster Lines and renamed ZINI. 1959 – Sold to Dorset Shipping Co., under the Liberian flag, and renamed SAN SALVADOR (managed by Purvis Shipping Co., London). She was broken up at La Spezia, Italy in December 1968.
