Puzzle jug
Puzzle jug, buff coloured earthenware, standing on a roughly cylindrical foot-rim, bulbous body, high cylindrical neck ornamented with a design of perforations, short spout fed by a tube running around the lip-rim and down the handle to a hole in the lower interior body of the jug, plain loop handle with a small spur to the lower terminal; covered all over apart from the base with a greyish-pink tinged white tin-glaze, crudely decorated with to the front of the jug a stylized iris in shades of blue, yellow and ochre. The foot-rim chipped.
