Rectangular section steel bar with a hole at each end; part of oak bark grinding mill.
Cast bar with T cross section for most of its length and holes through the thicker flat sections at each end. Traces of original paint remain, which now look grey. 14 cast teeth fit along the flat side of the bar. 13 of these teeth were clearly numbered 36.152.15. To make the set complete one of the three teeth with an illegible number was added. This is part of the bark crusher. 36.152.17 or .18 bolts to the bar at both ends to hold the teeth in place. The whole assembly may then be bolted to the ends of .19 and .20. The teeth fit between the toothed discs on .7 and .8 [RP; 24/09/2007]
