Knee breeches, fastened with black cotton tape ties at calves. Front fall flap fastening with two mottled grey plastic buttons at waist level. Six additional buttons for attachment of braces (two at centre back waist, and a set of two on either side of front). Worn by Gareth Jones when a member of Parti'r Gest folk dancing group, 1955-6.

Main fabric is a synthetic 2/1 twill weave; trimmed on the inside with grey 4/1 twill synthetic fabric (at waist and lower end of legs). 1 horseshoe-shaped rear patch pocket on right. Trimmed with 3.5cm wide strips of self-fabric at lower end of legs (not a rolled cuff). Buttons fastening the 'front fall' have been moved outwards for a tighter fit.
