Oral history interview with Dr Neil J. Kitchiner, Director of Veterans' NHS Wales. The interviewed was filmed at his office in the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, on 14 November 2017.
In the interview, Dr Kitchiner discusses the role of Veterans' NHS Wales and the treatment and support available to former service personnel experiencing service-related mental health problems. Dr Kitchiner also reflects on his military service as a Captain in the Army Reserve with 203 (Welsh) Field Hospital. He was deployed to Afghanistan from October 2013 to January 2014 on Operation Herrick 19A as a member of the Army Field Mental Health Team.
