Mug, soft-paste porcelain, inset base within a flattened-off foot-rim, cylindrical body flaring very slightly at the lip-rim, ridged loop handle; transfer-printed in underglaze blue with to the front of the exterior body a head and shoulders portrait of a female figure in profile clad in eighteenth century costume, below the portrait is the inscription "Q. CHARLOTTE", to one side of the exterior body a small group of a seated naked female figure holding a bow with a naked winged cupid holding an arrow besides her, to the other side of the body is a helmeted female figure seated on a cloud and carrying a shield and a spear. A crack runs down one side of the body.
