Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Hand saw intended principally for cutting along the grain. Length of the blade is 26 1/4", with five teeth per inch, increasing in size slightly from the toe - the front - towards the handle. It has a closed wooden handle secured to the blade with brass screws. On the handle is the name plate of H.Disston and Sons, makers, of Hilada, Philadelphia. The saw was also known colloquially as a Disston saw.
