Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain, creamy white translucency, standing on a narrow, tapering foot rim, rounded spreading sides; painted in the centre with a thistle-type flower in pale purple with two smaller blue flowers in the foliage below, within a circular olive-green band, encircled by four foliate sprigs in olive-green ; the rim painted with four stylised floral sprigs in blue, red, yellow and green with a thick olive-green band to the outer rim.
