Triangular seat with three turned legs which extend above seat to support the back and arms. The back leg has 3 diagonal spindles each side supporting cresting rail. The arms are turned spindles in pairs. Back leg punch marked with cross designs. Label beneath seat signed W.E. Mallett August 14, 1909 states that he bought the chair from the Duke of Beaufort and that it was one of a set in the banquetting hall at Raglan Castle before being taken to Troy House, Monmouth.
