Long cream colored socks. Worn by Gareth Jones when a member of Parti'r Gest folk dancing group, 1955-6. Upper 12.5cm knitted in 1 knit / 1 purl pattern and main part of sock knitted in 3 knit / 1 purl pattern. Apparently extended at the top by casting on and knitting another 8.5cm (1 knit/1 purl). Top edge bound on the inside with white cotton tape (width = 1.5cm). Sole and heel in plain knitting.
