Plate, soft-paste porcelain, creamy white translucency; standing on a broad tapering foot rim, cushion moulded spreading sides; the rim moulded in eight uniform lobes, with raised moulding of forget-me-not type flower heads in a pattern, extending to give a fluted effect to the sides of the central well, the same raised pattern in a radiating motif in the centre; the central moulding encircled by three brightly painted butterflies, in blue, orange, yellow and purple, two with wings outstretched, one closed, all with intricate patterning of dots, circles and crescents to their wings, with three smaller butterflies interspersed, two yellow, one purple; chocolate band to outer rim.
