Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Octagonal jug of slightly blue tinged earthenware, body of bulbous, octagonal form, tapering towards the shoulder then flaring to form a lobed, everted lip rim, narrow spout with acanthus leaf moulding; ribbed wishbone handle with raised thumb spur and trefoil lower terminal; transfer printed with the 'Lazuli' continuous sheet pattern, extending to the interior of the neck and to the handle; consisting of undulating, irregular grey and black lines and areas of shaded grey to resembling marble or the veining on lapis lazuli.
