Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Negative of Ffynon Dafydd Bifan, Epynt mountain, near Tafarn y Mynydd, Breconshire. Taken by Iorwerth Peate in June 1940.
The Epynt was selected by the War Office at the begining of the Second World War as an artillery practice area, and 219 people were given notice to move from their homes and farms. Iorwerth Peate as part of the staff of National Museum Wales was tasked with documenting and photographing some of these dwellings in June 1940.
