Teapot, white stone ware, standing on a diamond-shaped stepped foot-rim, diamond-shaped body composed of four flat vertical panels, shelving sharply inwards at the shoulder, diamond-shaped raised lip-rim, curving six-soded spout, high loop handle with the lower terminal culing outwards, diamond-shaped cover with four flat sides sloping inwards, flat top to the cover with a finial in the shape of a sealion-like animal, the finial broken off and repaired, a pierced steam hole to the finial, decorated with moulding in relief with to each of the four sides of the body a central moulded shell surrounded by concentric bands of geometric Greek key-shapes and small scrolls, the spout moulded with vertical bands of geometric Greek key-shapes and scrolling lines, foliate moulding to the handle, the sides of the cover moulded with bands of geometric Greek key-shapes and a shell-like pattern; left in the white and salt-glazed.
