Above: God the Father supporting His crucified son. In base, an angel holds a shield : a saltire with two annulets interlaced in centre for difference, NEVILLE. To either side, another shield: dext. a chevron between three lions rampant; sin. a cross between four lions rampant, SEE OF DURHAM. (The heraldry of this shield has been the occasion of comment).
