Posset-pot
Posset-pot, pale buff coloured earthenware, standing on a rounded foot-rim, bulbous lower body, flaring upper body, twin small plain loop handles to either side of the body, to the front of the body a narrow external spout curving up the sides of the body; the body covered with a white slip and then decorated with red slips and outlining trails of dark slip with white dots in the form of stylized rose and tulip-like flowers, the handles and spout decorated with dashes of dark slip, covered all over with a yellow glaze, the glaze chipped off around the lip-rim.
