Teapot, hard-paste porcelain, standing on three short feet moulded with flutes and foliate bands, cylindrical body, curving shoulder, raised shaped lip-rim, curving fluted spout with foliate moulding around its lower section, double-curved scrolled loop handle with a modelled animal head at the shoulder, round domed cover with to the top a finial modelled in the form of a lion; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to either side of the exterior body of the teapot a spray of forget-me-nots enclosed within a gilt oval border with a heavy puce ribbon to the top, further forget-me-not sprigs to the rest of the exterior body of the teapot and the top of the cover, blue lines around the lower body, shoulder, neck and lip-rim of the teapot and the rim of the cover, the feet spout, handle and finial picked out in blue. The tip of the spout broken off.
