Pouch shaped jug, earthenware, standing on an octagonal foot rim, the body, bulbous at the base and ribbed to form broad, slightly convex panels, tapering at the neck, forming an undulating indentation, then flaring to form a wide spouted mouth with an asymmetrically lobed lip rim; high looped ogee handle extending above lip rim with vertical thumb spur, foliate moulding and scrolled lower terminals; painted on the lower body in underglaze blue, iron red, green and purple lustre with stylised flowers and leaves, the blue flowers overpainted with copper lustre to give a gilded metallic effect, with two small sprigs to the neck in the same colours, blue speckling and some blue smudging to the neck and upper handle.
