Cup, cabinet and saucer
Small cabinet cup and saucer, soft-paste porcelain, good clear translucency, lustrous glaze; the cup standing on a pedestal foot, tub-shaped body spreading to an everted lip, two scroll handles extending above the rim of the cup and enclosing an eagle's head terminal; shallow saucer with a recessed centre; the cup decorated with a gilt foot, the sides decorated with a diaper or trellis pattern in gold, wreathed with a densely painted band of flowers and fruit, and with a band of bay leaves and star in gilding within the lip; saucer decorated with a central star of bell flowers and palmettes, the rim with a gilt diaper ground and brightly painted band of flowers and fruit.
