Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Wedding dress (skirt and bodice). Worn by Henrietta Graves on her marriage to Sir Gerard Albert Muntz in Cirencester, 1908. The bodice was edged with black as the bride was in mourning for her father.
Grey bodice and skirt. Bodice has low, round neckline edged with frill of black and white cotton lace. Yoke, back and front is lined with silk and muslin, and decorated with appliqued silk on trellis patterned silk net. Long fitted sleeves, tucked below shoulders with panel of appliqued silk to match. Trellis patterned silk net below elbow, lined with muslin. Waist fastened by five sets of hooks and eyes. Bodice back-fastned by ten hooks and eyes, surmounted by four silk covered decorative buttons. Skirt with train. Central panel decorated with appliqued silk.
