Externally covered with light brown leather with carrying loop and brass lock. One side of the case folds down to form a writing flap. Inside are two hinged flaps, one wallet attached the other with loops for pencils etc. A horizontal comportment has a wooden pen tray. The inside is covered with black leather. The lock has been forced.
