Thickened bronze rim fragment with one circular rivet with a slightly flattened top on the external face. There is a secord torn rivet hole alongside. The rim top is of simple, flattened, upright form, particularly noticeable along the internal side. A small second sheet fragment is secured between the rivet head and the vessel. The fragment is bent out of shape, though it does appear to come from a small vessel. At one end the rim top is beginning to tear away from the vessel. This simple rim would tend to rule out the Atlantic Class A and B cauldrons and bucket forms of the Late Bronze Age. Could be a handled bowl or cauldron or Early Iron Age date or a cauldron of Late Iron Age to Romano-British date.
