Tea-caddy

Meissen (Factory)

Tea-caddy and cover, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a flat base, rectangular straight sides, sloping shoulders, circular cover witths traight sides sides domed top with modelled opening bud finial and stem; decorated in polychrome enamels with `deutsche Blumen', on one side with a spray of flowers with a pink rose, the opposite side with a spray of blue, purple and white flowers, one side with two sprigs, one yellow and one purple, the other side with a sprig with a fallen single petal, two sprigs, one a pink flower, the other purple to shoulders either side of opening, gilt circular border around opening, cover decorated in a different style, the sides with two sprigs, one pink, one yellow and two sprigs to the top, one pink, one orange, modelled finial painted, gilt border to rim.
