Footprint 341. Found 4m west of Building 1 in the same shallow linear depression as footprint A7. The individual was heading in the direction of the east end of Building 2. The footprint is in raised bog peat, as indicated by the heather stems on the surface, and is filled by peaty clay. Parts of the heel are picked out by a thin band of lighter clay, suggesting either that the individual stood on a thin layer of clay over peat or that directly after formation the print was coated in clay. It is a right foot with a clear heel. The broader part of the foot is well marked; part of the big toe is present, as are the stub ends of three other toes, the ends of which have been eroded. The foot length minus the toes is 170mm and in total 182mm. This indicates a boy aged seven and a half to eight and a half or a girl aged eight or nine. The stature gives a height of 1.28m.
Site Name: Redwick, Newport County Borough
