Spill vase
Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Spill vase, earthenware, standing on a spreading waisted foot, cylindrical body, rounded lip-rim; the decoration reserved against a black enamel ground so that the red earthenware body is revealed, this then transfer-printed in black with an egg and dart border to the foot-rim, border of a palmette frieze with black dots on a red ground to the upper and lower body, wave pattern border to the interior lip-rim.
