Teapot, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, globular body, short cylindrical neck, short curving spout, ridged loop handle, round domed cover with flat collar-like rim, a nipple-shaped finial to the top of the cover, a pierced steam-hole to one side of the cover; decorated with to either side of the exterior body large spreading sprays of oriental flowers and foliage in bright red, yellow, green and blue, surrounded by small foliate sprigs, the cover decorated with a similar large spray of flowers and foliage and a small sprig of flowers and foliage, the spout and handle decorated with a flower head and foliage design in red, a design of petals in purple radiate out from the top of the finial. A long crack extends down one side of the teapot and around the lower body.
