Sugar bowl

Hukin & Heath
Dresser, Christopher

Two bowls joined together along two of the raised long sides; raised above the assembly line is a flat, inverted waisted ogee, shaped handle; the two outer long side curve in towards the bowl.

Christopher Dresser (1834-1904) produced designs for goods that were functional and affordable, yet also maintained design integrity. He admired Japanese art and this influence is often visible in his work. Some of Dresser’s most innovative designs are those he created for silver and silver plate manufacturers.
