Cream silk brocaded dress with naturalistic flowers, mid-18th century. From Plais Llanfair, Llanfair-is-gaer, Caernarfon. The silk was designed in 1747 by Anna Maria Garthwaite (1690-1763). The original watercolour design for the silk in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
