Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Plate, earthenware, circular shape with inset base, curving sides and spreading rim, slightly raised edge to the well, eight notches and lobes to the rim; transfer-printed in black with the 'Swiss Villa' pattern, an elaborate gabled building by the side of a lake with mountains in the background, the scene surrounded on three sides by a wide border of scrolling flowers and foliage, border to the outer rim of bell-flower shapes issuing small circular dots.
