Roman copper alloy pin fragment
Two fragments of copper alloy rods of inconsistent diameter. Although recovered together, it's unclear if they were once joined. Neither piece has any original surface remaining. They may be fragments from a pin. Their context also included a 2.5g piece of copper alloy slag (2025.66H/2.4).
The larger fragments has a mostly sub-square cross section, becoming circular as it narrows to an eroded point, probably through corrosion. The smaller fragment has a bend and mostly circular cross-section but one end is square.
