FORT FAIRFORD (7134gt). North Sands type built 1943 by North Vancouver Ship Repairs Ltd., North Vancouver, for USWSA / MoWT (managed by Morel Ltd., London). 1947 – Returned to the US Maritime Commission. 1948 – Sold to Cia Uruguaya de Comercio y Maritima, Montevideo and renamed GENERAL RIVERA. 1950 – Owned by Oceanic Transport Corp., Monrovia, but retained her name. She was broken up at Spezia in 1967.
