Plate, buff earthenware, covered with a pale-blue tin-glaze, standing on a recessed base, spreading, cushion-moulded sides, forming a central well with steeply sloping sides and a sloping scalloped rim of twenty four lobes; decorated in underglaze blue, puce and yellow, in the centre, with a two tiered pagoda-type building in puce with shrubs in puce and yellow to either side, to the front of the building, a figure, in puce, walking, all detailed with underglaze blue; all surrounded by a geometric border, with floral and foliate motifs; the rim with a running pattern of stylized foliate motifs, fern-type leaves and scaled fruits reminiscent of pineapples in thick, raised white or bianco sopra bianco, standing out from the tin-glazed ground.
