Plant pot or jardiniere, bone china, glaze slightly crackled, box shaped, straight sides with moulded borders and a convex central medallion, concave corners to which are bolted four herm figures, two nymphs and two satyrs all with folded arms, in parian porcelain, wreathed at the loins and terminating in a scrolling baluster which slots into each of the floriate scroll feet; stand on four inturning scroll and feather feet, serpentine sides with central shell scrolls, flat top with projecting shell corners; pot decorated with two medallions of the monogram JB in flowers and two medallions painted with emblems of music, horticulture and love on white ground all within tooled gilt frames, set in a turquoise ground with pink and gilded borders, the lip gilt, lower part of herm figures decorated with gilding; the stand with a turquoise ground, top reserved with a central plain circle in a beaded gilt frame and a wave-edged band painted a folded pink ribbon interlaced with flowers; pink, white anf gilt borders to the sides and feet.
