Election leaflet ‘Vote for Stuart Neale’. Neale became Plaid Cymru's first candidate to contest an election for Abergavenny Borough Council on 11 May 1967. As well as being a Plaid Cymru candidate Neale was also a gay liberation activist. He was an active member of Cardiff Gay Liberation Front, and was the first openly gay man to stand in an election as a Plaid Cymru candidate.
