Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
'Butterflies' waistcoat, 1978. From the first collection of Southernwood Woollens. Machine-knitted with an overall butterfly motif. Made from wool naturally dyed with weld, madder and logwood. The waistcoat closes by means of seven handmade wooden buttons, all decorated with a hand-drawn flower motif. Small hip pocket on either side. Pattern carried out in green, red and brown on a background of yellow. Edging done in brown.
