Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Rim from a vessel with a diameter of c.160mm. The fabric is hard and well-fired with abundant angular inclusions up to 5mm across. Much of the outer surface is missing. The rim is pointed with a steep internal bevel 10mm deep. Externally, the surviving decoration comprises two rows of short vertical incisions. Internally, below the bevel, are two rows of what appear to be vertically set 'birdbone' impressions, though the exact nature of these is masked by the carbon encrustations.
