Roman samian bowl
3 samian bowl sherds of form Dr37. S86 is good orange/pink ware with a bright glossy orange/red slip. The sherd is part of the lower divided panel - there is a beaded wreath, then the panel with diagonal whorls and arrowheads, and above there are traces of a straight plain chevron wreath. Central Gaulish. S87 is part of a base and footring of a very similar fabric to S86. The foot is neat and very low. Very little decoration remains. S88 is a little surface sliver of light pink ware with a matt dark red slip. Ovolo border and vertical row of bold square beads. On the upper part there is a small, plain double festoon on the left and part of a figure, possibly Venus.
Dr 37 is a hemispherical decorated bowl
