Sauce-boat

Worcester (Factory)

Cream boat, soft-paste porcelain, oval shape, standing on a flaring waisted foot-rim with a gadrooned edge, rounded fluted sides, the lip-rim lobed and moulded with a design of raised lines running from two moulded shell-like shapes teither side of the lip-rim, wide elongated fluted spout, loop handle with raised ball-shaped finial and a number of raised rings around either terminal; delicately painted in polychrome enamels with to one side of the exterior body an exotic bird standing amidst flowers and foliage and to the other side an exotic long-tailed bird on its own, sprigs of flowers and foliage to the interior lip-rim and the upper and lower sides of the spout. The foot-rim and lip-rim chipped, cracks to the handle.
