Teapot, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a high tapering foot-rim, globular body, cylindrical neck, narrow curving spout, high scrolled loop handle, the cover slightly domed with a flat collar-like rim, a flower head finial to the centre of the cover issuing moulded leaves across the top of the cover, a pierced steam hole to one side of the cover; transfer-printed in underglaze blue with a Chinese-style decoration, to one side of the body a tree stump with spreading branches and a spreading bush with flowers, to the other side of the body a spreading bush with flowers flanked by two flying birds, short borders of flowers and foliage to the upper and lower spout and handle, border to the shoulder of an arching blue band issuing vine leaves, the same border to the cover.
