Early Medieval human remains
These are the poorly preserved remains of a middle adult (17-35 years) of undetermined gender.
They are from Burial Phase J:774-1115 AD
They were buried in an extended supine position in a simple grave oriented West-East.
They had enthesophytes on their calcaneus (heel bone, where the ligament attaches). These are bony growths caused by either soft tissue injuries or repeated heavy strain.
