Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
This copper strigil was originally made in two pieces and soldered together, the joint having been mended at some period by four brass rivets. The handle-loop, which had cracked at its lower junction with the blade, was also roughly riveted. The handle carries inlay depicting six of the canonical labours of Hercules, three on either side.
