Strainer
Strainer, earthenware, round-ended oblong shape, standing on a tapering foot-rim slanting inwards, flat top with a number of perforated holes scattered across its surface, a larger round hole to the centre of the top; transfer-printed in blue with to the centre of the top the 'Willow' pattern, to one side of the scene three figures cross a bridge overlooked by a willow tree, beyond them is a boat on an expanse of water, to the other side is a pagoda surrounded by trees with a zigzag fence in the foreground, two birds fly over the scene, border to the rim of alternating diaper and lattice panels.
