Vase, stoneware, standing on a spreading foot, the main body rising from a columnar stem, the body, bulbous, shelving sharply at the shoulder, narrow vertical collar neck with rounded lip rim; the foot rim and base unglazed, the remaining body covered with a white slip, painted in brown with bands around the central stem, the body, freely painted with a pattern of scrolled lines, spirals and floral motifs, the shoulder with darker, more strongly painted spiralling petalled flowers and leaved sprigs, the neck with brown banding containing curved lines and shapes, the whole covered with a colourless glaze.
