Greetings card showing two koalas, with message inside from Joanie Doyle, Miners’ Support Group supporter from Richmond, Australia. Undated, but probably 1985. Joan Doyle was an Australian trade union activist and a friend of one of Sian’s gay friends Bruce Francis. Bruce Francis was a strong supporter of the Lesbians and Gay Men Support the Miners, and when he returned to Australia became an activist for the indigenous people of Australia and also worked for Oxfam. They both stayed at Sian’s home on several occasions.
