Pannikin
Pannikin of red earthenware, standing on an uneven base, slightly curved, flaring sides, forming deep saucer shape, then continuing straight, with deep horizontal ribbing, ending in a thick, everted lip; roughly moulded horizontal loop handle to one side moulded to upper body; exterior largely unglazed and of mottled appearance with some small patches of glazing, the interior covered with a brown, mottled glaze, giving a tortoiseshell effect, handle much restored, the whole being of warped appearance.
